We posted a few days ago about some upcoming runs in Vancouver. If you are anything like us we need a little extra motivation to hit the road. We asked Jay Minter to do the ground work on some running clinics in and around Vancouver. Here's what you need to know:
Whether you’re an experienced runner or a novice, it’s never a bad idea to get some experienced help with your run training regime. Race clinics will help you learn how to set your pace, handle hills along the race route and how to warm up and cool down will all help you to be better able to prepare for and recover from a run. Clinics also establish a camaraderie between you and other runners who will help with motivation and competitiveness.
If you’re preparing for your first competitive run, taking part in a fun run, or just looking for some running companions, running clinics are a great way to learn the route and plan for the experience of running with others.
Most communities have at least one run clinic, often in conjunction with a running club or equipment retailer.

Even if you don’t want to or can’t fit a clinic into your schedule, there are plenty of ways for you to reach your goals. Find a friend or friends, follow along with an online or app to manage your own run training group to help you all stay motivated and healthy.
