While the weather in Vancouver is always good enough to hit the pavement for a quick run, spring means the run season is upon us. Whether you're planning on a competitive long distance run, a 10k fun run or even just a 2k walk, it’s time to grab your gear and start hitting your stride.

To help you plan your run season, here’s a listing of some of the local runs around the lower mainland and area:

June:

7th: Sandcastle City Classic - 10k - White Rock

19th: Blueshore Financial Longest Day Road Race - 5K/10K - UBC Vancouver

21st: The Father’s Day Walk Run - 5K/10K - Burnaby

28th: Scotiabank Vancouver Half - 5K/21.1K - Vancouver

 

July:

18th: Summerfast - 10K - Vancouver

25th: Vancouver Pride Run/Walk - 5K/10K - Vancouver

 

August:

1st: Vancouver Colour Me Rad - 5K - Vancouver

8th: Lululemon SeaWheeze Half Marathon - 21.1K - Vancouver



September:

13th: ClearlyContact.ca Grouse Grind Challenge - Grouse Mountain

20th: Terry Fox Run - 5K/10K - everywhere

 

October:

4th: Blueshore Financial Spirit of the Shore Half Marathon - 21.1K - West Vancouver

10th: Delta Half Marathon - 5K/21.1K - Delta

11th: GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon - 8K/21.1K/42.2K - Victoria
